One Cap Shape, Three Finishes —A Cheaper Way to Build a Product Family
Launching a full range rarely means paying for a full set of new molds.
At GCX we often start from one proven cap shape and build a family around it: the same tooling, different finishes — gold, silver, gunmetal or matte black — plus embossed, debossed or laser-engraved details. One shape, several SKUs, one tooling fee.
Tooling is charged once and kept for the product lifecycle, so later SKUs on the same mold add finishes, not fees.
It works well for spirits too: a bar-top for whisky, a full-metal cap for vodka, a neck collar for gift sets — the buyer's guide breaks down the three cap architectures and the 18-point RFQ checklist to run on your supplier.
