Elios vs. Asmodians in ION 2: What Really Changes? If you are planning to jump into ION 2, one of the first choices you will face is whether to play Elios or Asmodians. For returning players, this decision may feel familiar, but the faction system has changed a lot since the original game. Some old differences are gone completely, while a few meaningful ones still remain. With advanced access starting on September 30 and the full global launch arriving on October 5, now is the perfect time to understand what actually separates the two sides. Appearance Is No Longer a Factor In the original ION, faction choice affected how your character looked. Asmodians had claws, talon-like feet, and a darker, more intimidating style. Elios, by contrast, had a brighter and more angelic appearance. For many players, that visual identity was a major part of the decision.
